Dash Cams And The Importance Of Using One

Dash Cams And The Importance Of Using One >>>

This is not something I’d usually post, but after a recent traffic incident, I thought it would be a good subject to write about.

Dash Cams And The Importance Of Using One
Dash Cams And The Importance Of Using One

Are you using a dash cam? If not then you should really consider using one, because they can save you a lot of time and hassle if you should ever be involved in a traffic incident.

I use one myself and just recently I was overtaken by a motorbike in a 30MPH zone, past a speed camera.

He must have been doing at least 50MPH, and I’m sure his intention was to try and get away with speeding whilst having the blame put onto me for it.

Now, I don’t know for sure if the camera went off, but there’s a very good chance that it did, with the speed he was going.

I am expecting a letter through the post for this with a fine attached for something I didn’t do, plus they also give you 6 points on your license.

Because I have a dash cam, though, I have the whole incident on camera and can prove that it was not me that set the speed camera off.

You may be thinking, this is not really a serious traffic incident, and yes there could be a lot worse ones than this, but when a £60-70 fine comes through the post for something you didn’t do, and 6 points added to your license, I would say this is quite serious.

By having a dashcam you have all the evidence you need to prove what really happened in an incident, so insurance companies and law enforcement can see who was at fault.

How To Speed Up Your Blog

Webpage loading speed is an important part of being able to use a website. Organic search results become one of the 100 ranking factors that affect a website ranking, and it certainly improves user experience. With so many other websites in your niche, the competition to earn website traffic and keep people engaged is becoming absolutely vital. If your website doesn’t load quickly,  then you’re likely to lose lots of visitors to your competition very quickly.

Faster page load times can increase your website’s crawl rate. All search engines can crawl as many pages at a time. Faster page speed can also increase any website crawl demand, meaning Google wants to crawl more of your website’s pages.

How to Improve Your Page Load Time

Here are 10 tips aimed at improving your website page load time:

1. Optimize Image Size and Format

Images on your site can take up a lot of bandwidth, which can affect your page load time. It is not enough to reduce the images of your website to HTML because it only changes the shape of the image and not its actual size. Use an external image editor tool to resize images.

Here are some image correction tools that will put more pressure on the image to reduce its size.

JPEG & PNG Stripper
Smush
Online Image Optimizer
Compressor.io

To improve the loading time of your page, it is advisable to stick to standard image formats such as JPG, PNG, and GIF.

2. Optimize Dependencies

Plugins: A site that requires a plugin can slow down your page loading speed significantly. Not all plugins are necessary. For example, social share plugins are a must for every site today. That said, you should always check to see if there is a better alternative to the plugin, such as javascript that you can just insert into your pages.

Tracking Scripts: Although it is wise to keep an eye on your website traffic statistics. It is not recommended to use multiple tracking software as this may interfere with page load time. If you’re using WordPress as CMS, you should allow WP stats to run scripts on your page or Google Analytics, but not both.

CMS Software: If you are using WordPress as CMS, it is recommended that you check for software updates frequently but do not load them directly on any website. Upload them to a separate server to test them first. Staying up to date with software updates also improves site speed.

3. Optimize Caching

Every time a visitor loads a site, your web page’s icon files, CSS, and Java files also load, which takes a lot of page time. When the caching is set up correctly, your browser can save these resources or files for later applications. These files can be retrieved from the cache instead of being re-downloaded from the network due to repeated page loads. It also reduces bandwidth and hosting costs.

4. Avoid Redirects

Avoiding redirects is helpful to increase your website’s speed. Some redirects are unavoidable and must be in place, but keep in mind that this requires additional HTTP, which increases the page load time. Check for broken links and fix them right away.

5. Reduce HTTP Requests

Use CSS spirits to reduce the number of image requests. Combine background images into a single image using CSS background-image and background-position elements. Add inline images to your cached style sheets. Similarly, combine all your JavaScript files into one file and also your CSS files.

6. Reduce Cookie Size

Cookies are used to store data that must be maintained between requests. This data is sent on each request, and as it gets bigger the load time increases. Therefore, reducing the size of the cookies reduces the size of the data you transfer and reduces page load time. Eliminate unnecessary cookies or reduce the size of cookies.

This concludes how to speed up your blog, but be sure to check back soon because I have more posts coming related to WordPress blogs.

Are Link Exchanges Good For SEO?

Are Link Exchanges Good For SEO?
Are Link Exchanges Good For SEO?

What Exactly is a Link Exchange?

Link exchanges, interactions, swaps – you may have heard the term in some form or another. It’s all the same thing really. Whether Google likes it or not, there are thousands of people that want to exchange and receive links from fellow bloggers and website owners. The perceived purpose or benefit of link exchange is to take advantage of Google, using the logic that getting a quality backlink will give you a ‘confidence’ vote that can give you a competitive advantage.

Is Exchanging Links a Legitimate Strategy?

Most traditional SEO experts (especially those who are not deeply involved in the link building process) strongly advise against any kind of link exchange. That’s good advice, as just continuously exchanging links for SEO purposes will not do you any favors at all. These days, most experts prefer to use other link building strategies. The landscape of SEO is certainly changing, and the top people involved in SEO will no doubt reap the benefits wherever possible.

The Cold Hard Facts

Unless you’re exchanging links with public contacts or starting legal proceedings just for a link exchange. Google can’t tell the difference between a ready-made link exchange and a natural link exchange. However, Google’s algorithm is machine-based.

When Should You Consider a Link Exchange?

It is important to work very wisely when considering link exchanges. You should not focus too much on any perceived benefits of SEO or link juice. Instead, the focus should be on synchronization.

Ask yourself some basic questions: “Does this website have any content, tools, or products that my visitors can find really useful? Am I going to link to this person’s page in a relevant way that will be helpful to my own users? ”

And of course, think about the direct relevance of the website in question. Is the quality of the content good and relevant to your site? We also recommend creating round-up listing articles with the WordPress Plugin WP Roundup Wizard that will help you get more backlinks (even free ones).

When to Avoid Link Exchanges Entirely

We need to use a standard analysis before we proceed. Then, ask ourselves if the website is relevant, useful, and whether we actually like the website. A good idea would be to check out a website’s social media profile, including their Facebook business page or LinkedIn profile page, to get a good feel for their brand.

How to Exchange Links in the Safest & Best Way Possible

To make this very clear, your strategy should not be to immediately start searching for people who clearly want to exchange links with you, such as on link markets. But instead, you should be grateful to other people and fellow bloggers, whenever you find great content that really helps you out. Then decide if link exchanging with the website is a good decision.

To make it totally clear, if you do decide to proceed with any link exchanges, then only link exchange with quality websites that are targeting the same subject/niche as you. Link exchanging with random websites will do you absolutely no good at all. In fact, you may soon see your website disappearing from Google’s search index entirely.
